Envirothon: Nebraska's newest high school competition focusing on the environment.

Get together your team of five students and join the Envirothon, one of the fastest growing competitions for high school students in the nation. Five-member teams test their knowledge of WILDLIFE, SOILS, FORESTRY, WATER, RANGE, AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY.

Show off the skills of your high school's science, environment, wildlife or geography club or any five interested students. Our regional competition is limited to the first 15 teams. High schools in Sarpy, Douglas, Washington, and Dodge Counties are eligible.

The 2007 Metro Regional Contest will be held March 7th at Chalco Hills Recreation Area. The winning team will represent the metro area at the Nebraska State Envirothon May 5th at Fort Robinson State Park.

The 2006 Nebraska Champion will compete against other state champions at the National Envirothon in Geneva, New York this summer.

No registration costs are involved in regional competitions. Grants are available to greatly reduce the cost associated with state and national competitions.
