Sergeant Mad Bear (Kuruks Tîčaris) Recreation Area is a flood reduction reservoir project located near 168th & Giles Road in Gretna.

The 84-acre recreation area will feature a 17-acre no-wake lake, traditional and accessible kayak/canoe launches, one-mile loop trail, picnic area, fishing pier, and fish stocking.

The recreation area is anticipated to open to the public in Fall 2025.
